Global auto is one of the well-known automotive organisations who have planned to initiate their operation in Mexico. However, facing different types of issues, the management has planned to implement your system to mitigate through issues and to access all the data for every employee. Therefore in this study, The traditional approach to IT solutions, value and risk of the ERP system and the challenges of global implementation of the ERP system are going to be evaluated. Similarly, this study also includes the benefits and challenges of cloudburst gear system in a particular environment
The application of the traditional approach of the IT solution includes the developing and designing of customs after solutions to meet different types of specific business requirements in a particular area. As illustrated by Helo et al. (2021), this approach also includes a property of IT professionals working closely with different types of business users which helps to gather all the requirements, design a particular solution to generate better support to provide proper results. The traditional approach is also very much important in a customised system which has been taken in the unique need of organisation. However, this approach can be expensive, time consuming or difficult to maintain for the organisation which creates a major amount of issues that can affect the overall operation of the organisation.
Analysing the overall case study of the Global auto, the application of traditional approach would involve the development of a new software system and designing from scratch which helps to meet all the specification requirements and business needs of the company in a particular and highly competitive environment. As analysed by Navarro et al. (2020), this type of factor also involves a large or significant investment of resources and time including hiring of a team member and allocating a good amount of budget for development of the software as per the requirement of the organisation. The application of the traditional approach can be effective for Global auto to initiate their Mexican operations by including a large number of advanced technology in the operating system which provide a good amount of support to the management body to get better revenue and profitability. The proper customization of the software to maintain all the unique needs of the automotive industry can help the organisation to reduce complexity and cost during productivity.
Evaluating the major limitations and challenges associated with the overall traditional process of implementing the technologies, Global auto has plans to adopt various types of ERP systems for addressing all kinds of business requirements in a particular area. As depicted by Kenge and Khan (2020), this type of approach can be also effective to offer integrated and more standardised solutions which can support most of the elements of the enterprise to be connected in ancillary systems for supporting the different types of business function. Because there are a large number of customisations required for tailoring the overall ERP system to address specific needs of Global auto, it is seen that this approach is the only way to offer a more cost effective solution compared to the traditional approach of a custom software development process in a particular area.
The enterprise resource planning system is very much well known as one of the primary software applications which has been used by most of the organisations to integrate and manage different types of business process functions and departments all over the environment. As opined by Amini, and Abukari (2020), this type of system also provides a proper development of centralised databases that store, collect and manage all kind of data from various departments including human resources accounting customer relationship management and supply chain to provide proper to the organisation to efficient do different types of activity. This type of technology can effectively check all the delivery performance of everywhere and sources and provide a proper field back to them as per their performance on a daily basis.
The proper value of this ERP system is only dependent upon the ability to integrate various functions such as operations finance and human resources into a single unit of the Global auto during their Mexican operations. As influenced by Hadidu et al. (2020), this can be also beneficial for increasing the productivity air efficiency of the Global automation operations to improve their decision making approach so all the better access to different types of real time data. Jim Smith also faced different types that created some major issues for the organisation. The major risk that created a huge amount of issues on the overall management body of the Global auto is related to the implementation delay and cost overruns. As this is too complex and requires a proper amount of resources for the successful implementation of the system in the system server, cost overruns and delays are the primary factors which created a huge amount of issues in the organisation. Due to the higher amount of pressure from the corporate office, the management had learnt Kentucky plant experience. This plan also employed a large number of locals at the time of managing the supervisory and operating levels which created some major challenges.
Another risk that Mary McCarthy created on the management is the potential for different resistance from the employees who may be resistant for change. Particularly if a particular system requires changes to be established between the processes the employee's resistance created some major amount of issues. As depicted by Jenab et al. (2019), the strong alignment is very much essential for the successful implementation of ERP system in the Mexican operation of Global auto. It involves the proper ensuring of a system alignment with the model goals and strategy of the company as well as to meet all the strategic language with the company's overall strategy and helps to meet the requirement of the business unit. In the case of global auto, the system should be designed with the application of Big Bang approach for putting focus on the customer refraction and quality as well as its overall goal for improving the information and reducing cost sharing across all the supply chain operations of this organisation.
Therefore, it can be clearly idealised that the ERP implementation in the Global Autos are totally dependent upon the strong leadership, well defined plan and effective project management of the management body.
Global auto is one of the well known automotive organisations which are doing different types of operations in various countries for generating a good amount of profitability and revenue in the international market. The organisation faced several types of challenges during the Global operations at the time of implementing the enterprises in the system server. These challenges faced by global auto are described below.
Currently, global organisations are majorly operating in a diverse market and cultural environment which created a huge amount of challenges in implementing the enterprise system in the overall environment. As depicted by Litke et al. (2019), in the case of global auto, implementation of ERP system in Mexico was one of the complicated factors for the management due to the cultural difference between US culture and Mexican culture. These types of factors could create a negative impact on the overall approach of implementation and the effectiveness of their work on a together basis to get a proper idea about the overall operation.
Global auto also faces a huge amount of significant time pressure for implementing the air system in their own Mexican plant. Depression could also be increased with the risk of taking various types of shortcut or overlooking different critical issues in the implementation process. Potentially, as stated by Panetto et al. (2019), it leads to budget overdown delays and project failure which affects the overall operation of the organisation. Due to the improper planning and gathering resources from the suppliers, a huge amount of changes can be found which create a major amount of issues for the organisation to manage the project.
Organisations also need to decide whether to implement the enterprise system in a big bang approach or phased approach. As per the overall study the faced approach has been used by the organisation which involved rolling out the overall system in different stages that allow find tuning and testing at each stage. On the other hand, as opined by Shao (2019), the Big Bang approach involved a proper process of implementing the system in one go which can be so much faster. In this implementation of ERP in the Mexican operation, Jim has used a phased approach which created time pressure on the management.
Currently, Global organisations have a complex IT infrastructure where multiple systems are already in place. Integrating the new system with the existing system can create a huge amount of challenges which require careful testing and planning for ensuring everything works in a seamless way. These challenges created a huge amount of issues which affected the overall operation of the organisation.
For managing different types of risks faced by the Global auto during the implementation of enterprise, the organisation faced different challenges which can be minimised through the application of different types of mitigation action.
Acquiring and implementation of the year system can be one of the complex processes which require proper execution and careful planning. The application of Agile methodology is very much effective to include this system with the system server. Agile methodology can offer benefits of teamwork and proper planning which help the software to ube integrated in the system. Some major steps that a particle organisation can follow at the time implementing and acquiring the ERP software package are described below.
Therefore, the implementation and according ERP system will need the proper well planned approach that can be helpful for the organisation to meet all the specific requirements.
For managing the user adoption, there are some key strategies that have been used by the management for offering different types of operations. These major strategies are described below.
Considering the overall benefits of the cloud based ERP system for the United of Mexican and Kentucky plants, the cloud based system provides several types of benefits which help the management to develop different types of operation in a better way.
Along with their benefits, the ERP system implementation also has several drawbacks that are described below.
Evaluating all the benefits and drawbacks of the cloud based ERP system, it has been identified that the organisation can save a huge amount of benefits due to having efficient employees in the Global auto to manage this implementation process in a better way. It is also helpful to unite the overall data of these two plants.
The application of traditional approaches for implementing different types of IT solutions provide a huge amount of support to the management to get a good amount of results in a particular environment. Similarly, from the study it is also known that the air system is very much helpful to manage all their operations. Different types of strategies for user adoptions along with the relevance factory including top management support property and performance measurement provide support organisation to include ERP system. The cloud based technology also benefits the organisation to unite the Mexican and Kentucky plants of the locations.
Transportation and freight logistics are one of the most important factors for every organisation to manage their different types of operations in a particular environment. This type of module can provide a huge amount of support to me for getting a clear idea about the different types of international expansion strategies for organisations. I did not feel so enthusiastic about getting a clear idea about the learning objectives. However, after day by day getting ideas about the operations and strategy implementation of the organisation, I felt enthusiastic to be a part of this module which provides me with a huge amount of support to get a good amount of knowledge about the importance of increasing profitability through international expansion. Expanding the market and selling products to the international market can provide a huge amount of support to the business organisation to generate better profitability. Similarly, I also learnt that funds can easily increase overall growth by selling services and goals developed at home in an international market. Local economics international affect different types of comparative pressure are the major learning modules of this subject which help me to get a clear idea about the major reasons behind using the proper international marketing strategy. There are four types of firm strategies as Global standardisation, transnational, localisation and international which can help a business form to choose the proper strategy for improving the overall marketplace and profitability.
After getting a clear idea from the module outcomes our professor gave the information about the importance of effective transport management that can provide a strategic advantage to the organisation through their efficient use of capital and both customer service. From the second module, I gathered a major idea about the importance of different types of current themes on globalisation performance management at sustainability along with the hierarchy, and networks that help me to get a clear idea about different integrative frameworks to be used for the transport supply chain management. This information provides me with a better idea about different types of opportunities for increasing my knowledge towards various types of operations. The third module is based on global freight transportation services, inter-model transportation and other factors about freight operations in the environment. I am so much excited to get associated with a particular firm who are doing international operations for getting their overall profitability. From this assignment, I also got to know about different types of factors such as the application of traditional approach value and risk of different types of ERP systems that provided a huge amount of support to the organisation. Enterprise resource planning is one of the primary technologies which helps to maintain all their resources in the overall environment for providing proper process support to the customers. Time pressure and cultural difference in integration with the existing system created some major issues for the management to implement the ERP system in global operations. Therefore, I am very much happy to do this assignment to getting knowledge about the different services of ERP and transportation operations.
For developing more knowledge, I will be using my researching skills to gather more knowledge about these system implementation and policies.
